Intro to Robert’s Rules for Non-Profits

February 3 @ 7:00 pm8:30 pm
Free

Session Details:

Ever sat in a meeting and wondered, “Are we actually doing this right?” This lively and approachable session introduces Robert’s Rules of Order through the lens of small, casual, and mission-driven non-profit organizations.

Designed to be practical (and entertaining), this session focuses on the real-life situations that often arise in non-profits, such as informal discussions, overlapping roles, passionate volunteers, and “we’ve always done it this way” moments. You’ll learn the basics of running fair, efficient, and respectful meetings without turning them into rigid or overly formal affairs.

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of motions, voting, and decision-making, along with tips on when to strictly follow the rules and when flexibility is appropriate. Whether you’re a board member, staff person, or volunteer, this session will help demystify parliamentary procedure and make meetings more effective and enjoyable.

Register here!

Please note: This session is not eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
