Fostering Good Governance and Community Trust
The Parliamentarians Association of British Columbia (PABC) represents all National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) members in British Columbia. The Association was established in 1995 with the intention to promote parliamentary knowledge and to supply educational and leadership opportunities for its members. The PABC is a registered non-profit under the BC Societies Registrar as The PABC Education Society. The PABC is governed by the general membership, with a Board of Directors who oversee the day-to-day operations. Annually, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), members elect their Officers, including the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Officers then oversee the recruitment of the maximum of three (3) Directors-At-Large. These members make up the Board of Directors of PABC. As per the bylaws, the Board maintains three (3) standing committees: The Bylaws, The Membership, and The Education Committees. We encourage members to reach out if they wish to get involved with any of our committees!

Membership comes with numerous unique opportunities and resources to help you along your parliamentarian journey. To become a PABC member, you must first take the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) membership exam. To pass, prospective-members must achieve 80% score on the exam.
